The making of Ice Age at Blank Park Zoo
Ice Age mammals arrived in style at Blank Park Zoo last week. Piece by piece, part by part, the mammals rolled past the administrative offices and into the ZooPlex. Manny the Mammoth and Diego the sabre-toothed tiger arrived with the rest of the Ice Age clan.
Check out the video of their arrival!
The animals come to life with their animatronic features, making you feel like you're entering the Ice Age. This week, we'll turn the ZooPlex into the IcePlex with snow, pine trees and other features that will take you back in time to the Ice Age era.
I went to the video store this past weekend because believe it or not, I had not yet seen the movie. It turns out there are three of them! I only had time to watch the original, and I highly enjoyed it. It's a great movie for the whole family to watch together. I laughed at Sid the sloth's antics and loved Manny the Mammoth's heart for his herd.
Who is your favorite Ice Age character? And, which mammal are you most excited to see? Join us for our Grand Opening event March 17. Get a membership to enjoy this exhibit again and again, through June 10.
I'm so excited to see the Ice Age animals @ Blank Park Zoo tomorrow!!! I'm going because tomorrow is my field trip to Blank Park Zoo!!!
