Celebrate International Red Panda Day tomorrow at Blank Park Zoo

Become a Red Panda Ranger at Blank Park Zoo as we celebrate International Red Panda Day tomorrow - Saturday, Sept. 21!

International Red Panda Day is dedicated to teaching children all about red pandas and encouraging them to become Red Panda Rangers. By completing at least three red panda activities, you’ll earn your Red Panda Ranger certificate and learn about how you can help with conservation efforts for these animals.

During the day, you will have the opportunity to "travel" to the five home country ranges of the red panda and can complete up to five challenge activities around the Zoo.

Activities will be from 10 am to 2 pm and include:

  • Arts and crafts projects, including red panda masks and origami!
  • Red Panda Enrichment  Demo – 11:00 am
  • Keeper chat at 12:00 pm
  • Training demonstration at 1:00 pm
  • A life-sized red panda game – you are the game pieces!

Blank Park Zoo is home to two female red pandas, Berry and Kitar and a male, Razz. You can ask an animal keeper and volunteers questions about the Zoo’s red pandas.

On your way out, make sure to stop in our gift shop and check out our special red panda display.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to learn all about the red pandas as we celebrate International Red Panda Day tomorrow. Become a Red Panda Ranger!
