Ever wonder what it is like to be a Zookeeper?  Come find out at Blank Park Zoo, Iowa’s Wildest Adventure! The Zookeeper for A Day program is an interactive  educational opportunity that will give teens a firsthand look at working in an AZA accredited zoo. Come spend a few hours helping zookeepers with their daily   routines of food preparation, cleaning and animal care. Activities may include diet preparation, cleaning, and/or creating animal  enrichment (activities may vary). Participants should be ready to get a little messy (of course, that’s half the fun!)! Most areas clean with hoses; participants should be in appropriate clothing with close-toed shoes that can get a bit wet (rain boots would be best)!  Zookeeper for a Day programming is for participants between 13-17 years of age. Each day’s programming will run from 9:00am to 11:00 am. This program accommodates only 8 participants, so sign up early!

Member Price: $20
Non-Member Price: $25

This class is designed for children with a special interest in becoming a zoo keeper or working with animals in the future.  Please discuss this with your child and make sure it is something they are truly interested in.

Please choose class dates/times carefully.  There will be a $5 service fee for any requested class changes after your registration has been received.  No refunds will be honored.
