So you're coming to ZACC 2013...here are some things you need to know.
A silent auction will be held at the conference and we encourage you
to bring an item from your zoo or a project that you support. The silent auction benefits the ZACC Conservation Fund. If you are interested and know of an item that you will be bringing, please send the information firstname.lastname@example.org.
Conservation Plan and Grant Application
Zoo professionals: We would like to compile examples of Zoo conservation plans and grant application forms. Emailzacc@blankparkzoo.com your conservation plan and grant application forms by June 15, 2013 if you would like to be included in this. These will be shared with all delegates at the conference.
ZACC Movie Night
Movie Night will be taking place on Thursday evening of the conference and there is an opportunity for you to share your story. Click here for more information. If you have further questions regarding any of the above information, please email email@example.com.
Join us for a pre-conference workshop on Monday, July 8th for an afternoon of field and zoo communications training and discussion! This unique workshop will bring together five experts from the fields of conservation, journalism and marketing. Click here for more information. This workshop is FREE registered participants of the conference! RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For those with an interest in photography, the ZACC Photography Contest recognizes the power of photographic images to change and inform people. Click Here for information on how to submit your image.
We are continuing a tradition start by Seattle! We invite you to participate in the ZACC Conference Swag Swap! Is your closet full of cloth bags, t-shirts, hats, jackets or sweatshirts from past conferences or zoo & aquarium stores? Or could your organization use items like these in the field? Here’s how the Swag Swap works:
- Bring new or gently used bags, t-shirts, hats, jackets or sweatshirts from any past conference or zoo/aquarium store (no water bottles please) to the Swag Swap table
- Need an item? Take an item!
- Need these items for use in the field? Field staff are invited to take multiple items
- Any items remaining on Friday afternoon will be donated to charity
Zoo professionals: We encourage you to sponsor your field contacts to come to ZACC. Please let us know who you are sponsoring so we can acknowledge this in our event program. Email email@example.com with this information by June 1st, 2013.
