Blank Park Zoo is excited to present the 2013 Conservation Series. With the Zoo’s new exhibit – Jaama Kwa ‘Connection to’ Africa – opening this spring, each evening will feature a speaker focused on the conservation of a majestic African animal. Please plan to join us for light appetizers during a social from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with the presentation beginning at 7:00 pm.

Active in international conservation, John Lukas is the president of White Oak Conservation Center, Inc. which raises funds for conservation projects, including a project in the rain forest of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This project protects the wild population of okapi by supporting rangers and assisting local communities.
