Our Water Our Land is a weekly educational video series produced by the Drake University Agricultural Law Center and its director, Prof. Neil Hamilton. The series focuses on current issues involving water, land, wildlife and other natural resources issues in Iowa. The goal is to provide timely, objective, and honest information about the issues and about what individuals and organizations are doing to improve the quality of life in Iowa. Over one dozen episodes have been filmed and posted covering a range of topics including: protecting water quality, Iowa’s history of conservation leadership, the work of the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, examples of farmers doing the right thing to protect soil and water, Seed Savers Exchange and the Global Seed Vault, land reform in Cuba, and the opportunities in our rivers. The videos are posted on YouTube and Facebook, and can be found at the Center’s website. The series is supported with grants from the Amy Goldman Foundation and the Des Moines Waterworks.
