Tuesday series: Class times are at 6 pm
With guidance from both you and our zoo educators, children will learn through exploration and play. This is a child-centered program that is less structured than our traditional classes. During Polliwogs, children will engage in free play and hands-on experiences at various sensory bins and tactile stations around the classroom. Stations consist of a variety of natural substrates, tools, toy animals, and much more. This class not only supports young children’s social, physical and emotional development, but also helps them connect to and develop empathy for wildlife and nature.
Polliwogs classes take place in the Bankers Trust Learning Center located in the center of the Zoo.
Natural substrates will be used during this class including bird seed which may contain traces of peanuts and tree nuts.
Tuesday series: Class times are at 10:15 am
For after-hours classes, Zoo staff will greet you at Admissions approximately 5 minutes prior to the start of class.
All sales are final. If you are unable to attend a class, you can transfer to an open class. Rescheduling fees may apply. No refunds will be offered unless classes are cancelled by the Zoo.
