Camps are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Each camp is for children entering Grade 4 in fall 2023.
Enrichment is anything that provides environmental stimuli to our animals here at the zoo to enrich their lives or mirror wild behaviors. Zookeepers work hard to make sure each animal has enrichment every day. Learn what it takes to prepare these enrichments, why they are important and even get a chance to design your own! Please note, for safety reasons, campers will not have direct access to zoo animals or their habitats.
To eat or be eaten, that is the question. This week, campers will discover how energy is transferred from one organism to another and trace the path of that energy from predator to prey, back to plants and ultimately the sun.
What makes a home different from a habitat and a habitat different from an ecosystem? Campers will travel the globe to understand how even very different habitats are connected through the plants, animals, and other natural processes that occur on earth.
