Photo Safari: Many pictures tell a story. Can you capture the details of an animal’s story with just the click of a button? Gain inspiration for your own photographs by exploring some famous photos of animals in the wild. This week, campers will create posts for the Zoo’s social media to share the animal’s stories and feature their photographs.
Camp Dates: June 14-18
Camp Times: 9:00 am-4:00 pm
Camp Costs: $185 Zoo members/$260 non-members
Optional Overnight: Instead of going home Thursday, camp out at the Zoo and take part in some extra fun evening activities all about nocturnal animals!
Date: June 17
Cost: $45 per camper. Dinner and breakfast will be provided.
Enrichment 101: Enrichment is anything that provides environmental stimuli to our animals here at the zoo to enrich their lives or mirror wild behaviors. Zookeepers work hard to make sure each animal has enrichment every day. Learn what it takes to prepare these enrichments, why they are important and even get a chance to design your own!

The Mighty Mississippi: This week, things are going to get wet and wild as we discover the animals that enjoy life in the river. Through exploration and discovery, children will learn all about the wildlife living in and around the mighty river that is at the heart of our country. On Thursday, we'll take a trip to the mighty Mississippi and stay overnight at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque!

Camp Costs: $270 Zoo members/$380 non-members
Ecosystem Engineers: Ever wonder how termites build towering mounds or beavers construct dams? Some animals, like coral, are the construction workers for entire ecosystems. This week we will draw inspiration from nature's architects to create our masterpieces. Let’s get building!

If I Ran the Zoo: Have you ever wondered how YOU would run a zoo? Well, now’s your chance! This week you’ll learn all about how Blank Park Zoo operates and work as a team to design a zoo of your own! You’ll meet some of the staff and animals at the zoo and discover behind-the-scenes secrets that make the Blank Park Zoo Iowa’s Wildest Adventure!
