Out of an abundance of caution, to keep our guests, animals and staff healthy, we are implementing the following precautions for our Fall 2020 education programs:
Is there a minimum group size?
Yes, we require a minimum of 10 people to book a group overnight. The ratio of adults per children required is 1 adult for every 10 children (ages 17 and under) with a minimum of 2 adults.
How far in advance do we need to reserve a date?
Reservations are required at least 3 weeks in advance.
Can we bring food into the Zoo?
No outside food or beverages are allowed. We encourage everyone to bring a reusable water bottle or purchase one from the Zoo!
Is any food provided?
Dinner will not be provided. An evening snack and continental breakfast are included with every campout.
Are tents provided?
Blank Park Zoo has a very limited number of tents. In locations were tents are required, we suggest you plan to bring your own tents. Please note, tents are not allowed to be staked down anywhere in the Zoo. Weights can be provided upon request, limited number available.
Is electricity available?
Electricity may not be available at every campsite.
Are showers available?
No showers are available. However, bathrooms are located near campsites and available for changing and nightly/morning routines.
Will we see animals at night?
Every overnight includes an animal program featuring a few of our Ambassador Animals. Some Zoo residents have access to outdoor yards overnight but it is dependent of temperature and animal related restrictions.
Will we be sleeping on grass?
Please note, sleeping areas are concrete or hardwood flooring and may or may not be outdoors. We encourage guests to bring camping mats or air mattresses and warm clothes and blankets.
Reservations are required at least 3 weeks in advance. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at least 2 weeks prior to campout. Full payment is due upon arrival.
All sales are final. No refunds will be offered unless programs are cancelled by the Zoo.
