Age Range: For ages 5-6 with a caregiver (cost is per child)
Class Length: ~1 hour and 15 minutes
Days: Wednesdays, once a month at 3:00-4:15pm
Location: Macaw Cafe
Cost: $10 members, $18 non-members per class
This class will be similar in structure/content to Zoo Tots Cooking but the activities will be geared towards slightly older kids.
Join your favorite furry, feathery, slimy, and fuzzy animal friends in an exciting, hands-on adventure during which you and your child will make a creative, tasty treat and participate in fun activities. These classes also include stories, activities, zoo exploration, craft and visits from live animals.

September 18: Millipede Rolls
Let’s twist, roll, and wrap dough into a long skinny millipede, topped off with cinnamon sugar and countless frosting legs.
October 16: Puppy Pot Pie
While creating a pot pie that resembles a pup, we will learn how the pets in our homes are different from animals that live in the wild.
November 13: Turkey Time
We will learn all things birds this class as we use oreos, candy corn, and other sweets to create a turkey treat.
December: 18 – Winter Wonderland
As fall turns to winter, animals must prepare for the snow, ice, and cold to come.While learning about what animals do in the winter, we will create some snow-covered trees by decorating waffle cone cupcakes with frosting and candy.
Class cost covers child and one accompanying adult. Additional adults must use their zoo membership or pay admission. For non-members, class cost does include admission to the Zoo for the day.
Classes are the same during each theme week, please register for only one class per week.
Blank Park Zoo hours are 10am-4pm, October-April.
All sales are final. No refunds will be offered unless class is cancelled due to low enrollment. Rescheduling depends on class availability and may only be done once. Rescheduling fees may apply.
