The camels aren’t the only ones celebrating hump day at Blank Park Zoo! Every Wednesday in the summer, the Zoo comes to life after hours for those 21 and over. This popular fundraising event features a variety of live music and summer brews all while enjoying the animals!  When you buy a brew, you support the Zoo! 

Back to School Bash - Friday, August 2

Summer vacation may be coming to an end, but the fun doesn't stop there. Enjoy the Zoo after hours with the whole family, before heading back to school!

Gators on the Green – Monday, August 19

Grab your clubs and hit the green! Gators on the Green is Blank Park Zoo’s annual golf tournament that raises funds to support the Zoo, the Zoo’s education programs and conservation efforts near and far.

Monarch Festival - Sunday, September 15

Blank Park Zoo’s Plant.Grow.Fly. and partners are pleased to announce the 2019 Monarch Festival! This event will be held at Blank Park Zoo on Sunday, September 15th from 12-4 PM.

Halloween Zoo Brew: Night of the Living Zoo – Friday, October 11

Lions, tigers and BOO(ze) OH MY! For those 21 and older, grab your best costume and come celebrate Halloween at the Zoo. Enjoy live music, your favorite seasonal brews, lighted displays and a costume contest!

Night Eyes – October 17-20, 24-27

Lights, Costumes, Treats! Night Eyes welcomes you to the sweetest Halloween tradition in Central Iowa! This “merry not scary” Halloween event invites guests to enjoy our round-the-zoo treat path, live entertainment, train rides and a unique light show experience!

Scuba Santa - December 7 & 8

Chimney's aren't the only thing Santa will be diving into this winter! Santa is scuba diving in Blank Park Zoo's 15,000 gallon tank on Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th at 11 AM and again at 2 PM each day. Come snap a unique holiday selfie with the man himself!

Santa at the Zoo - December 14 & 15

Ho, ho, ho! Santa is making a special stop at Blank Park Zoo December 14th and 15th this year from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM! Enjoy a day filled with holiday cheer, hot cocoa, crafts and holiday-themed enrichment for the animals.
