Have you ever imagined yourself working at a Zoo? Have you ever wondered what the keepers, veterinarians, and nutritionist do to help the animals in our care? This winter is your chance to not only imagine it, but to learn more about these areas and practice the skills needed to work in Animal Care at the Zoo.
This winter Blank Park Zoo will be hosting a series of activities that will give guests the opportunity to learn more about animal care career opportunities. Take your imagination to the next step and join us this winter and engage with keepers, veterinarians, animal nutritionist, and volunteers.
Take action to save animals in the wild from extinction by attending the Zoo this winter– IMAGINE THAT.
Imagine you are in charge of preparing food for over 1,500 animals. Every animal species has a specific diet in three categories – herbivore, carnivore or omnivore. How do you come up with a weekly shopping list? Where do you find some unique items like crickets or pinkies? This is what Animal Nutrition Day is all about.
