Bring all your favorite Valentines on Friday, February 7, 2025 for a night of music, sweet treats, crafts and special animal encounters for our annual Sweetheart’s Dance!
Join us Saturday, March 8, 2025 for a relaxing afternoon filled with creativity, fun and a little wine! The two-hour long class will be led by Marcy Davidson of 515 Wine-With-Design, where she will guide you through creating an animal-inspired masterpiece.
Enjoy an Easter-themed story book read by our friends from the Des Moines Police Department and the Easter Bunny.
Join us on the first Monday in June, July and August for our annual Member Late Night’s! The Zoo will be open from 5:30 to 8:00pm, just for our members to enjoy. Experience all the Zoo has to offer, but in cooler weather and with less crowds. Member Mondays also include one (1) additional guest per membership, as well as the first train ride being free! Rides and experiences are weather dependent, and all animals will go indoors 30 minutes before sundown.

Join us for a ho-ho-holiday fun-filled member's only event, Friday December 12, 2025 in our Holmes Foster Event Center. Santa & Mrs. Clause will be making an appearance to read our members a story, take a photo, eat some pizza and enjoy cheerful music and crafts with the kids!
