- Will I have to select a specific evening to attend while purchasing tickets to Night Eyes?
Tickets for Night Eyes 2024 are general admission tickets, valid for one entry during the event, October 17 - 20 and 24 - 27, 2024.
- Do I need to purchase admission tickets to the Zoo as well as Night Eyes?
Night Eyes is an after-hours event, and tickets are separate from daytime Zoo admission. Night Eyes tickets are valid 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday – Friday October 17 – 20, 2024 and 24 – 27, 2024.
- Can I get into this event with my membership?
Members receive reduced-rate pricing to support this fundraising event! Member tickets are $6 per person.
- What is the age range for free admission for children?
Children under 12 months old receive free admission to Night Eyes. If the child has not had their first birthday, they are free.
- What time do doors close?
Admission to the event closes at 8:30 p.m.. Suggested arrival between sunset and 7:30 p.m. to get the best experience.
- Should we wear costumes?*
Costumes are not required but encouraged! Please remember Night Eyes is a merry not scary event - see costume guidelines below.
*COSTUME GUIDELINES FOR NIGHT EYES
- Full-face masks are not permitted, to promote the family friendly atmosphere.
- Weapons of any kind (real or costume props) are prohibited on Zoo grounds.
- For the safety and wellbeing of the animals the following items are not permitted. Balloons, bubbles, plastic lids, plastic straws, noise makers (including horns), laser pointers, and glass containers.
- For safety of guests and staff the following items are not permitted. Alcoholic beverages, skateboards, roller skates, bicycles, and other sports equipment.
- No materials that could be considered hazardous or involve clean up or damage will be allowed. This includes liquids, confetti, silly string etc.
- Inflatable costumes: For the wellbeing of the animals all inflatable costumes must deflate at or avoid walking past the lion and tiger habitats.
- Do not tease or scare any animals. Guests found antagonizing animals will be promptly asked to leave. This includes, but not limited to: making noises, running, or jumping at the animals.
- Where will the costume characters be during the event?
Costume characters will appear throughout the Zoo grounds. See entertainment schedule for details.
- Will I see animals?
Animals will not be available for viewing during the event. For the safety of the animals, guests, and animal care staff, the animals must go in for the night before sunset. If you wish to see the animals, please visit during normal business hours (10 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily with admissions closing at 3:30 p.m.).
- Are there food options available?
Yes, local food vendors will be available at the Holmes Foster Event Center until approximately 9 p.m. See food vendor schedule for details.
- What time will the Fun Zone close?
Entrance to the Fun Zone (located inside the Holmes Foster Event Center) will close at 8:45 p.m. Experiences inside the Fun Zone will close at 9 p.m.
- Will the train be open?
The train will be open weather and operations permitting. Train tickets are $2 per member and $3 per non-members. Line cuts off at 8:30 p.m. with the last ride at 8:45 p.m.
- Will the carousel be open?
The carousel will be open weather permitting. Carousel tickets are $2 per member and $3 per non-members. Line cuts off at 8:50 p.m. with the ride closing at 9 p.m.

- Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Will tickets be available at the door?
We recommend advance purchase tickets to save time in line. Tickets are also available at the door. When ordering online, please confirm you have the correct number of tickets in your cart as there are no refunds.

- What if it rains?
Night Eyes is a rain or shine fundraising event. We encourage guests to dress/prepare for all weather conditions. Night Eyes tickets are non-refundable. If the weather is not favorable on your desired night, tickets are valid for all eight nights of the event (tickets expire after October 27th, 2024).
- Does any of the candy contain nuts?
Yes, some candy will contain nuts. Each treat station contains a different candy.
