- Do I need to purchase my tickets before the event?
Tickets can be pre-purchased or purchased at the door. Pre-purchased Zoo Brew tickets can be purchased online or over the phone at 515.285.4722.
- Will there be samples?
Yes! Brewery samples are available in the center of the zoo until 7:00 p.m. Samplers bring a limited supply & samples are available on a first come first serve basis. VIP ticket holders receive early access to brewery samples at 5:45 p.m.
- Does Zoo Brew close for rain
No. Zoo Brew is a rain or shine event. In case of severe weather, updates will be shared on our social media pages and website.
- Can I use cards and cash at bars?
The bars are cashless and only accept drink tickets. Drink tickets are sold at several locations around the Zoo. You can use a card or cash to purchase drink tickets. All other experiences around the Zoo - the Safari Grill, Gift Shop, Train, etc accept cash and card.
- When do the animals go inside for the evening?
For the safety of the animals and animal care staff, the animals must go in for the night 30 minutes prior to sunset.
- Can I change my ticket date?
If you’ve already purchased a VIP ticket and need to change the date, please call 515.285.4722 between 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday for assistance.
- Can I use my drink tickets at another 2024 Zoo Brew?
Yes, 2024 drink tickets are valid at any Zoo Brew during the 2024 season, including Halloween Zoo Brew on October 11.
- What is the difference between a VIP ticket and regular admission?
There are a limited quantity of VIP tickets available each night and must be purchased ahead of time. Each VIP guest receives admission to Zoo Brew with 5:45 p.m. early access to brewery samples, a wristband, drink ticket, access to the VIP area near the band, and a VIP koozie. NEW this year VIP guests will have access to Alpaca Acres.
