Join Blank Park Zoo, Polk County Conservation, and the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation as we work together to restore Iowa’s woodland flora. Invasive plant species put pressure on our native woodlands, and we need your help restoring this habitat. Volunteers will be tasked with removing invasive plants, such as honeysuckle, to help native plants flourish. The invasive plants collected will be transported to the Zoo to provide browse for a variety of animals including rhinos and giraffe.
